JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Reports to the CEO for the oversight and efficient operation of all organizational goals for success.
  • Review and negotiate contracts or agreements to present to the CEO for approval and execution
  • Lead and oversee multiple departments as assigned by the CEO
  • Collaborate with CEO and other departments to reduce costs, enhance program outcomes and support Sunshine’s mission and values.
  • Provide stability and structural support to all facets of operations while improving internal processes and systems.
  • Works collaboratively with other agency departments, understands organizational processes, how they relate and how they impact work efficiency and effectiveness. Regularly reviews processes impacting organizational efficiency to ensure continued importance. Identifies opportunities to improve organizational process and oversees change initiative.
  • Develops an organizational data set to continually assess effectiveness of service delivery. Works with program managers to establish continuous quality improvement standards of operating.
  • Works collaboratively with Chief Program Officer to:
    • Review compliance data to determine needed quality improvements
    • Determine strategies for improving efficiency of workloads
    • Analyze financial data to determine ways to improve program sustainability
    • Plan new service and initiatives and support implementation from feasibility study through planning, implementation and stabilization
  • Works collaboratively with Chief Financial Officer and Chief Program Officer to improve understanding of finances by program managers and how operational decisions impact results.
  • Works collaboratively with Vice President, Human Resources and Chief Program Officer to review efficiency of staff development on an ongoing basis, providing feedback to directors, managers and scheduling.
  • Oversees new services development from feasibility study through planning, implementation and stabilization. Works with Chief Program Officer on implementation of new or expanded services.
  • Manages the corporate integrity program (and Compliance Office) including the following areas:
    • Overseeing licensure and certification: facilitating visits, sharing results, taking corrective action, changing organizational policy as needed.
  • Supports the executive and leadership teams in deciding what actions to take, and establishing priorities.
  • Serves as staff representative to Board of Directors for Sunshine Communities.
  • Networks with community partners to establish positive community relations
  • Promotes a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and commitment to quality.
  • Mentors and develops staff using a supportive and collaborative approach; assign accountabilities; set objectives; establish priorities; and monitor and evaluate results.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree in Business or equivalent preferred; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior operation or management in an executive leadership role of a non-profit organization is preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts and have general finance and budgeting knowledge.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Sunshine is hiring two full-time Med Technicians to provide medical intervention & medical focused supports to Individuals with high medical needs assigned to them by the RN Nursing Manager.

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Consistently implement all aspects of the Individual Plans (ISP/IP), and medical care, while functioning as a Direct Support Professional in various sites.

Residential Service Manager

Intense two to three months of training that combines 50% of time providing direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with 50% of time spent with online and classroom type training. This is in preparation for being assigned a caseload of individuals supported by the agency either in a residential or vocational program.

The training you receive will prepare you for the program manager position. Job duties for this position are summarized below:

  • Reports to an area Director and is responsible for an assigned caseload of individuals.
  • Works with Scheduling department to ensure staff coverage and support for assigned homes or vocational sites. This at times includes working in those homes or vocational sites.
  • Assesses needs acuity and supporting documentation using required state assessment tools such as ODDP, IAF, AAI, etc.
  • Ensures thorough assessment of needs, involving clinical staff as appropriate, including OT, PT, Speech, Medical, Nursing and Behavior AnalystStaff support
  • Hires staff members and provides regular feedback to staff that includes hand on training, support and evaluation.
  • Communicates staff feedback and uses it effectively to improve services and the work environment
  • Develops (or participates in development of) support plans that address needs and preferences of the individual and family, and assures all necessary approvals and resources are in place before implementation.
  • Participates in agency on call system on a rotational basis.
  • Reports to an area Director and is responsible for an assigned caseload of individuals.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required for some positions and is preferred for others as well as one or more years’ experience in the field of developmental disabilities, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • One or more years’ experience in supervision strongly preferred as well as some direct care giving/support services.
