  • Assists teachers from various schools and other professional staff by performing a variety of duties designed to implement the instructional and behavioral program for students while engaged in remote learning at Sunshine.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior Direct Support Experience with behaviors and with individuals with developmental disabilities that are verbal and non-verbal.
  • Very knowledgeable of computer and computer software to be able to navigate remote learning
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate’s Degree required – Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Education, training, skills and experience working with student behavior management & instructional support
  • Experience working as a team member to solve problems and develop/implement quality programming

Intense two to three months of training that combines 50% of time providing direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities with 50% of time spent with online and classroom type training.   • Reports to an area Director and is responsible for an assigned caseload of individuals
  • Works with Scheduling department to ensure staff coverage and support for assigned homes or vocational sites. This at times includes working in those homes or vocational sites.

  • Bachelor’s degree required for some positions and is preferred for others as well as one or more years’ experience in the field of developmental disabilities, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
