Sunshine is also about providing support to individuals who choose to live in the community.
Whether you live alone, with family members or with roommates, Sunshine can provide supports such as building skills at home, transportation, balancing a budget or finding recreation.
In addition to at-home support – 24-hour or occasional – those in supported living programs in Lucas County often are part of our vocational, therapeutic and recreational programs too at our Maumee campus.
In Fulton County, Sunshine expanded its vocational options in 2016, when it opened the Sunshine Community Center in Wauseon. Here, people with disabilities can find meaningful activities each day, spark new relationships and explore the community around them.
