We’re on the lookout in Lucas and Fulton counties to fill both part-time and full-time positions, and we periodically hire for managers, nurses and drivers and other staff in our dietary, laundry, barn and greenhouse operations.

Experience in the DD field is preferred but not required. We are currently hiring individuals full-time and part-time, as well as weekend-only positions. All shifts available. Candidates must have a dependable work history, compassion, flexibility and patience. Competitive wages of $10/hour to start with the potential to make up to $1 more in the first year. Weekend shift differential of $1.00 as well.

Full Time Lifeguard

Dietary Manager

Sunshine is hiring a full-time dietary manager at our Maumee campus.  1-2 years supervisory experience in the food service industry in healthcare is preferred.  Must have general knowledge of inventory control, health department requirements/regulations and safe food preparation and handling techniques. This dietary manager will focus on integrating dietary services in Sunshine’s community homes, which will include training staff in shopping, cooking, and food safety techniques.

Scheduling Coordinator

A scheduling coordinator assists in filling shifts for approximately 400 direct support providers 1,200 shifts. This is a fast-paced position requires someone who can think creatively on-the-spot. Patience is a requirement along with excellent customer service.

A high School diploma or GED is required; a degree is a plus. You must have experience as a previous scheduler, preferable in a healthcare setting. Must be willing to work some weekends. Excellent computer skills and customer service skills a must.

Janitor/Housekeeping
This position at Sunshine Communities is responsible for maintaining Sunshine’s buildings in clean and orderly condition. In addition to these duties, this position includes light maintenance in such as:

  • tending to furnace, air conditioner, and boilers to provide heat, cool air, and hot water.
  • painting
  • landscaping
  • preparing rooms for meetings/special events

Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. We need someone who can work independently and swiftly. A good attendance record a must.
